Privacy Policy

How ToolsHub collects, uses, and protects your information. GDPR, CCPA, and Google AdSense disclosures included.

Effective date: May 2026

1. Who we are

ToolsHub ("we", "us", "our") operates the website https://www.freeseosmasher.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit the site, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your data.

If you have questions about this policy, contact us at info@freeseosmasher.com.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you provide directly

Most of our tools require no account or personal information. When you do contact us via the contact form or email, we collect the name, email address, and message content you choose to send us — purely so we can respond.

If you create an account (optional, only needed to save favorite tools), we store your email address and a hashed password. We never store passwords in plaintext.

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, our servers automatically log standard web request data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and timestamp. This is used to operate the service, prevent abuse, and produce aggregate traffic statistics. We do not associate this log data with named individuals unless required for fraud or abuse investigation.

2.3 Information processed by tools

Many of our tools run entirely in your browser using JavaScript — your input never travels to our servers. These include the password generator, hash generator, all calculators, encoding/conversion tools, JSON utilities, and image editor.

For tools that do require server-side processing (PDF converters, file format conversion, video downloaders, screenshot generation), we receive your file or URL temporarily, perform the conversion, return the result, and then delete both input and output from our servers within 30 minutes. We never read, archive, share, or analyze the contents of these files for any purpose other than performing the requested conversion.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and local storage for: keeping you logged in if you create an account, remembering your theme preference (light/dark), and serving advertising. See our separate Cookie Policy for the full list.

4. Third-party services

4.1 Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to display advertising. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other sites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our sites and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.

For users in the EU/EEA/UK and California, Google operates a consent management process that complies with GDPR and CCPA. We display a cookie banner the first time you visit allowing you to accept or refuse non-essential cookies.

4.2 Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand traffic patterns. Google Analytics sets cookies that record your interactions with the site (which pages you view, time spent, referral source). The data is used in aggregate; we do not attempt to identify individuals from Analytics data.

4.3 Cloudflare and CDNs

We use Cloudflare and similar content delivery networks to serve site assets quickly. These services log basic request data (IP, user agent) for security and performance purposes.

5. Legal bases for processing (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another GDPR-equivalent jurisdiction, our legal bases for processing personal data are:

  • Performance of a contract — when you create an account, we process your email and password to provide the service.
  • Legitimate interest — for security logging, fraud prevention, and basic analytics.
  • Consent — for non-essential cookies including advertising and personalized analytics.
  • Legal obligation — when required by law (e.g., responding to lawful court orders).

6. Your rights

6.1 GDPR rights (EU/UK)

You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; restrict or object to processing; receive your data in a portable format; and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these, email info@freeseosmasher.com with the subject "GDPR request".

6.2 CCPA rights (California)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, the right to opt out of any "sale" of personal information (we do not sell personal information in the traditional sense, but advertising-related cookies may qualify under CCPA's broad definition of "sale"), and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. To exercise any of these, email info@freeseosmasher.com with the subject "CCPA request".

7. Data retention

Server access logs: 90 days. Account data: until you request deletion. Files processed by server-side tools: 30 minutes maximum. Contact form messages: until the conversation is resolved, plus 12 months for reference.

8. Children

ToolsHub is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

We use HTTPS across the entire site. Account passwords are hashed using bcrypt. Server-side processing of user files is isolated and the files are deleted after processing. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but we apply industry-standard safeguards.

10. International transfers

Our servers and CDN nodes are located in multiple jurisdictions. By using our service, you consent to your data being transferred and processed in those locations, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective date" at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced via a notice on the homepage for at least 30 days.
